Still feeling a little frustrated getting started on E-Bay? Don’t feel too bad, recent changes like “Detailed Seller Ratings (DSR)” and “discounts for sellers,” have made it challenging for even the experienced sellers.

To some, the changes didn’t sound like anything to be concerned about, but some saw  through the plan and noticed other phrases in there, like “removal of bad feedback for buyers” and saw the potential for smaller businesses to be shut out. This is a notion we are seeing proven accurate months later.

Social networking is probably the Internet’s hottest trend. The term social networking is the act of connecting with people and forming a community based on common interests and goals. This has evolved and made its way to the Web through message boards/forums, micro-blogging, social networks, photo-sharing, blogging, and more. These communities all have one thing in common — they connect people with similar interests regardless of their geographical location.

New Search feature while video plays, is just one of new things going on worth noting on You Tube. Notice that embedded YouTube videos now carry a search box at the top. This only appears when you mouseover the top portion of the video, and disappears when you move away. They recently added the search bar to the end of embedded videos, but now, you can search for a different video when you determine the one you’re watching isn’t actually what you want to see.

Having a game plan can get your site up and running without all the headaches.  At the end of the project, the outcome should be measured by, “Did we get a good-looking, usable Web site deployed in a reasonable amount of time?” 

 

Initial Web site design and redesigns of existing sites may each face a few different challenges, but overall, they are similar.
