License levels |
|
 |
|
|
Three license levels available to meet any organization or personal need - below is an overview of each and features available. We also have a Features-at-a-Glance comparison chart that outlines major features available in each version.
| Basic |
 |
Installation on a single computer for creating and maintaining one on-going web calendar. |
 |
| Professional |
|
Install on a single PC to create and maintain an unlimited number of web calendars. This level also includes more features such as 'Remote Event Submission', 'Calendar Merge', 'Template Generator', 'Auto Run' for unattended operation, and more. This version would allow you, for example, to create and maintain calendars for other organizations. |
 |
| Enterprise |
|
Includes all the features of the professional version. Plus, this license allows for an unlimited number of installations within a LAN or Intranet of a single organization. This would allow many people within your organization to create many calendars, and share calendar maintenance with other users on the same local area network. |
The Professional and Enterprise versions contain identical features, however, the Enterprise license allows for the installation of the software on an unlimited number of computers within an organizations local area network or physical location.
Number of Calendars:
The Basic license allows for the creation of one 'on-going' calendar. The Professional and Enterprise versions can create an unlimited number of on-going calendars. Each calendar can operate between the years 100 to 9999. The calendar start date can be the current date, or any date between 100 and 9999. Calendars can be generated for the web to display up to 100 past and 100 future months
Events per Calendar:
Each calendar can contain an unlimited number of events. There are no limitations on the number of events in any version.
Remote Event Submission:
Allows you and others to submit events to the calendar over the web. This feature is complete with the ability to create an unlimited number of login/password accounts for access to the remote events submission feature. Professional and Enterprise versions only. To learn more about this feature click here.
Calendar Merge:
Include events from one or more other calendars. Events can be merged from an unlimited number of calendars. Professional and Enterprise versions only.
Backup & Restore:
Create a backup copy of your calendar that can be restored in the event of system failure. Professional and Enterprise versions only.
Private Event Option:
Events can be labeled as 'Private' - a private event is an event that appears in a calendar, but does not appear in the HTML pages created. The private event feature can also be used in conjunction with the calendar merge feature. Professional and Enterprise versions only.
Unattended Operation
Using any scheduler, and command line options, every aspect of the operation of WebCalendar Creator can be automated. This includes the ability to start, download remote events, generate HTML and publish calendar pages to a server. Professional and Enterprise versions only.
Import Events:
Every version of WebCalendar can import events from comma delimited files (CSV), or from another WebCalendar database. The CSV format is a standard from that most programs including MS Outlook and other databases can export to. Using the CSV format, you can import event information from virtually any database source.
Remove 'Created By' Icon:
The option to not display the 'Created by' logo is enabled in the Professional and Enterprise versions.
Customizable Templates
All calendars are based on user modifiable templates. A ‘template’ is a set of files that define how a calendar appears. The help documentation explains template modification in detail in the 'Template Customization' section.
Template Generator
Create new templates based on the current settings specified in a calendar.
Lunar Phases
WebCalendar accurately predicts and displays the major lunar phases from years 100 to 9999.
Integrated FTP Publishing
Automatically publish a calendar to a web server using the integrated FTP feature.
First Day of Week
The first day of the week is different in many parts of the world, WebCalendar can be customized to match you regional weekday and date formats.
Exclude Weekends
Ability to exclude either Saturday or Sunday, or both from the calendar HTML pages. |
